Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes come after nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
